Perhaps the worst book written that I think four stars. The reason I’m rating “Making Dollars with Pennies” is so high because of its content and because Max Bowser, who has been the publication of his “Bowser” Report of more than 25 years, the real deal. In fact, the book is a quick and easy to read, with a popular intervention. No high finance here. The book can be very useful for people who are already on the market, have been for some time (and perhaps even been burned). The book as a work of literature because of poor organization and repeatability (Diversification importance among the 12-18 stocks many times) is low.

I think as an active investor in the market today, to succeed, you need some sort of an “edge” or a niche. One way to achieve this focus on stocks trading under $ 3 per share, Max does. That book will guide through the jungle of smaller stocks. While Max excoriated studious ignorance among the institutions that allegedly risky stocks, in practice, is its very careful about what he does. Although the selection of new topics is somewhat shrouded in mystery (Bowser Promotion reader Subscribe with his monthly report, will pick up again), it gives enough detail to be “Bowser Rating” system to reveal his thought processes. Two important opportunities Bowser reduces the risk of investing in small-scale activities through a tendency for companies with strong balance sheets and a consistent record of past performance – not at the stage of development, the total concept stocks here. An important limitation to note

take on Bowser system is that the mid to late 70s, when the water is often difficult to walk, was polite. To the extent that its methodology or conclusions of old or obsolete, it can transform ideas runway, at the time considered. Personally, I find it comforting that the year 2000-2010 our market may be more in common with the 70s, when the bull run 80 or 90. Please also note that some of his proposals appear, in particular the mechanics of setting up and monitoring of a portfolio, rendered obsolete by the Internet.

Besides diversification, Bowser may be the most important thing is to save a different formula for sale. is sold, especially if one shares “Bowser Rating” under 8, the stock, which requires an investor in companies with deteriorating fundamentals for sale. Second, when a double action, an investor must sell half of its position, again to offset costs. The remainder of the increase, then held the post until he falls to 25% from its recent high. How did

Picks Bowser (more than 25 years of newsletters) over time? As he said towards the end of the book [p. 157], 47% of businesses are still in business, bought 26% and 27% are in bankruptcy proceedings. During his period of detention, have more than recommended, the stock decline is well underway. However, the lack of statistics show that controlled small minorities have more to gain market share for the losers. These are the big winners in an “honor roll”, and include systems companies such as Semtech, Smithfield Foods and Alpha. The great hope of the small investor in shares is not that the recovery will average to do well, but a few of them will be the big winners – and that is why diversification is so important.

“Making Dollars with Pennies” is only the beginning. It n ‘There is no substitute for work on your own.

  2. Mr. Bowser has to integrate the public with a powerful set of strategies for the planned investments in our own approaches. It remained to this day is a lot of jargon of Wall Street, “to intimidate many of us who learn more can be done. It contains information that is under the radar screen of most major brokerage firms. When you invest interest in pursuing a basic do-it-yourself, you will be with his book a solid base from which you can start your search for suitable stock. Most of us can afford to buy shares, less than $ 3. 00/share. Mr. Bowser provides the training necessary to select these stocks. He did a very good investment service for the “little man” in the region.

  3. I have several books in which direction the basic investment is offered to the newsletter writers / consulting / mutual fund shares to buy to read / etc “Making Dollars with Pennies” at least the method as “Bowser” Report made the point before recommending explained that instead of sharing analysis leisure you pay Max Bowser, do it for you.
    > The “Bowser” system is easy enought to understand and track, with a list of “buy” indicators that can be drawn from any financial side, and more refreshing when to sell a system. Although I fear that the mechanical application of this system will make money, I must give credit to Mr. Bowser for the explanation of his system. Esploration If nothing else, it is a basis for others.

This book contains a good discussion for those seeking ambitious profitability targets in the small market, but I would also consider Dan Holtzclaw of penny stocks: The Next American Gold Rush. “-Dan offers easy access and strategy market is great too!
